About the race
2027 Run for Water Trail Race takes place on June 5, 2027 on Sumas Mountain near Abbotsford, BC, at 37797 Taggart Rd. The event offers three trail distances:
- 10K: 500 metres elevation gain, rugged technical single-track
- 25K: nearly 1,500 metres elevation gain, technical flowy single-track
- 50K: nearly 3,000 metres elevation gain, the 25K route run twice in opposite direction
The trails are rugged and technical single-track with roots, rocks, mud and substantial elevation change. The 25K and 50K routes reach the two highest peaks in Sumas Mountain Regional Park and include vistas of the Fraser River and the Fraser Valley.
Registration requires full payment at time of registration and registration fees are non-refundable. Participants may switch to a shorter distance after registration at no cost, subject to availability, with notice at least one week before race day. The event does not offer deferral to the following year or transfer of bibs to another racer. Amounts donated or fundraised above the race entry fee are tax deductible.
Early package pickup is available Friday, June 4 from 3 to 6 PM at Valhalla Pure Outfitters in Abbotsford. Race day packages are to be collected at the start/finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
