Run for Veterans 5K - Lakeville
The event is a flat and fast 5K held in Lakeville. The course follows local streets: onto Staples Shore Road, then Main Street, Settler's Drive, Hitching Post and Wagon Trail, around the cul de sac, and returns the same way. The start and finish are in the school driveway.
Water, bananas, apples, granola bars and juice are available for all participants. Food for purchase will also be available. Free onsite parking is provided. A bouncy house and games are offered for children. Awards are planned for overall finishers and for age groups 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 39, 40 to 59, and 60 and over; award presentations are scheduled to begin approximately one hour after the start. A silent auction will feature gift baskets from event sponsors.
Race T shirts and sizes are guaranteed for entrants who register online before October 22, which is the last day to choose a custom size; later registrations are not guaranteed their chosen size. Registration fees listed are $25 for online registration and $30 for same day registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
