9th Annual Run for Veterans 5k
The event is a flat and fast road course of 5 km that starts and finishes at Mullein Hill Christian Academy in Lakeville, MA. The course follows local streets: right onto Staples Shore Road, right onto Main Street, right onto Settler's Drive, left onto Hitching Post, left onto Wagon Trail, around the cul-de-sac and returns along the same route to the school driveway.
Participants are provided on-course and post-race refreshments including water, bananas, apples, granola bars and juice. Additional food will be available for purchase. Free onsite parking is offered at the venue. Family amenities include a bouncy house and games for children.
Awards are given for overall winners and for multiple age-group categories: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 39, 40 to 59 and 60 and over; award presentations begin approximately one hour after the start of the race. A silent auction of sponsor gift baskets will take place during the event.
T-shirts are available and sizes are guaranteed for participants who register online before October 22; registrations after that date may not receive the requested size.
