Run for the Violets 5K
The Run for the Violets is an annual run and walk held in Dolgeville, New York, on June 14, 2026. The event is based at 20 South Helmer Ave and includes a main 5K and a separate kids fun run. Registration is online only; the 5K has an entry fee and the kids run is free.

Registration for the 5K opens January 25, 2026 and closes June 5, 2026. Kids Fun Run registration opens January 25, 2026 and remains available through June 14, 2026. Race day registration is available across from the Dolgeville Fire Department. A T-shirt cut-off date is May 1; sizes requested after that date are not guaranteed. A group discount applies for the 5K when registering three or more people, reducing each registration by three dollars.
About half of the 5K course runs on the Greenway Trail. The event carries a USATF number NY24005JG. Awards are given to top overall male and female in walk and run, top local male and female (Village of Dolgeville or Town of Manheim residents), and winners in age categories from 14 and under through 60 plus, with separate awards for men and women.
