Run for the Trees - Jersey

Run for the Trees is the third annual community running event organised by Jersey Trees for Life at Val de la Mare on 20 September, in partnership with Rock N Road Runners and sponsor Evelyn Partners. Runners follow routes around the arboretum and reservoir, with courses designed to pass tree collections and reservoir views. The event awards a crafted wooden medal to all finishers and a prize for the top fundraiser. Winners will have their names displayed at the arboretum for the following year.

Course details:

• 12 km trail run, age 16 plus, two loops passing all ten arboretum tree collections, trail shoes required
• 6 km trail run, age 16 plus, one loop, trail shoes required
• 3 km out-and-back on the main path, age 10 plus

Practical information includes collection of race packs from the Rock N Road shop at Liberty Wharf on Friday 18 September or Saturday 19 September, or on race morning at Val de la Mare car park. Participants should bring their own water bottle; water can be filled at the start but will not be handed out along the course. Parking is available at Amaizin! Adventure Park opposite the Val de la Mare car park. Runners aged 10 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
