Run for the STARS 2026
Run for the STARS returns for its 23rd year on September 19, 2026 in Wheaton, Illinois at 332 E. Seminary Ave. The event brings people together to celebrate and support individuals with disabilities and their families. The organizer uses the name STARS for participants in its disability ministry; STARS stands for "Seeking To Always Reflect the Savior."
One hundred percent of proceeds go to supporting the STARS community. Funds provide scholarships for STARS to attend retreats or summer camps, individually or with their families. The event also provides a grant to STARS Family Services, a separate 401(c)3, which provides job coaching for STARS.
Race and participation options include:
- 5K road race
- Kids Dash 50 yards for ages 7 and under
- STARS Dash 50 yards
Packet pick-up is scheduled for September 17 and September 18 at 332 E Seminary Ave, Wheaton. Registration opens June 10, 2026. Closing dates and fees differ by event: the 5K closes August 1, 2026 with a $30 fee; the Kids Dash closes September 17, 2026 with a $12 fee; the STARS Dash closes September 16, 2026 with a $12 fee.
