Run for the STARS 2026 : Wheaton, Illinois
Run for the STARS is a community fundraiser organized by College Church to support people with disabilities and their families. The event has run for 23 years with the stated goal of bringing people together to celebrate and support those who participate in the church's disability ministry, known as STARS, an acronym for Seeking To Always Reflect the Savior. The organizer states that 100% of proceeds go to the STARS community.
Proceeds fund scholarships for STARS to attend retreats or summer camps, individually or with their families. The event also provides a grant to STARS Family Services, a separate 401(c)3 organization that provides job coaching for STARS.
The event takes place in Wheaton, Illinois, at College Church, 332 E. Seminary Ave. The course is described as a new route through tree-lined streets of Wheaton. Packet pick-up details are noted as coming soon and a race map is available from the organizer.
