Run for the Roses - Roselle
The Run for the Roses 5k is described as the 30th annual edition presented by Xtra Mile Running in Roselle, Illinois. The event takes place around Lake Park West High School at 500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Roselle, IL 60172.
The main road race uses a flat USATF certified 5k course on closed neighborhood streets near the high school. On-site parking is available close to the start and finish areas. Indoor and outdoor restrooms are provided. Post race refreshments are offered and a balloon artist was noted for the 2024 event.
A separate chip timed kids race of 0.6k for ages 12 and under runs partly on the high school track, finishing at the same location as the 5k.

Packet pickup is scheduled at Xtra Mile Running in Schaumburg on the Friday and Saturday before the race, with specific pickup times provided by the organizer. Registration fees listed for the two events are $35.00 for the 5k and $10.00 for the kids race. Proceeds after expenses are designated to support the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois.
