Event Information
This is the 11th annual Run for the Rose. The event is a 5K run or walk and is chip-timed. The start and finish are at West of Wise Winery.
Course & Location
The course takes place at the historic New Salem State Park and the Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site. It features a mix of roads and trails alongside the Sangamon River. Due to the trails, strollers are not allowed.
Registration & Awards
Registration includes a wine glass and wine tasting tickets. Prizes are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, and to the top three finishers in each age division. Day-of-race sign-up is available.
Venue Amenities
The West of Wise Winery also offers cider and beer from local breweries. A Cousins Maine Lobster food truck will be onsite. The event takes place regardless of weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
