Run for the Ribbon 5K Run/Walk
Michigan Men's Health Foundation's Run for the Ribbon is set for Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak, Michigan. The event raises support for prostate cancer survivors and people who care for them.
Available race options include:
- 5K Run/Walk (timed) around the Detroit Zoo perimeter
- 1 Mile Stroll inside Detroit Zoo grounds
- Doze for Dads (virtual only) with shirt and medal mailed to participants
All participants receive a race shirt, a medal, and complimentary entry to the Detroit Zoo. Overall and age group awards are offered. Prostate cancer survivors receive a special gift at the Michigan Men's Health Foundation tent.
Participants can create team or personal fundraising pages, upload photos and a personal story, and set fundraising goals; each page has its own custom URL. Age based discounts are available for children aged 0 to 2 and 3 to 13. Stroller entries must be registered and receive a shirt, medal, and zoo entry with their race bib.
Parking is available in the zoo parking structure or the surface lot to the left of the main entrance. Dogs are not allowed at the event due to zoo regulations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
