Run for the Paws 5K

Event Overview

The KCHA Run for the Paws 5K is the third and final event in the Kanawha Valley 5K Winter Series. It takes place at Nitro High School in Nitro, West Virginia.

Distances

The event offers three options:

• 5K Run
• 1 Mile Walk
• 1 Mile Walk with a Shelter Dog (Participants are responsible for the dog's pick-up and drop-off from KCHA.)

Registration and Awards

Registration for the event opens on October 1, 2025. The standard registration fee is listed as $35, with prices increasing as the event date approaches. Awards are based on net times and are given to the top male and female overall finishers, as well as the top male and female in several age divisions.
