Course and logistics

The course is a 15.8 mile loop on single-track trails through the hills of Kanawha State Forest. The 50k distance consists of two laps of the 25k loop. The route begins with a steady incline to the top of the mountain and uses mostly single-track trails; the course is described as often snow covered in winter. A course map is available online via MapMyRun. Packet pickup is offered the day before at Robert’s Run Walk Shop in South Charleston and at the pool parking lot in Kanawha State Forest on race morning.
