Run for the Gold 5K - Peachtree City
Run for the Gold 5K is a community nighttime race and family night held at Oak Grove Elementary School in Peachtree City on March 27, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The program combines the races with family-oriented activities, including music and food trucks. Race proceeds support Oak Grove Elementary programs and staff development, specifically funding professional learning opportunities, Leader in Me initiatives for staff and students, and additional resources, equipment, and programs that aim to enhance student learning and engagement.
Registration is listed at $25 per person with a maximum charge of $100 per household. Organizers state that registrations submitted by March 6 will be guaranteed a shirt; registrations after that date will not receive a shirt. Race packets containing numbers and shirts will be sent home with Oak Grove families the week of the event; other participants may pick up packets on race day. Organizers note that shirts will not be mailed. Because cell service is limited around the school, last-minute registration may be processed with cash or check.
