About the race
Run for the Dogs 5K (Howl-o-ween 5K) is a timed 5-kilometre run and walk held on November 14, 2026 at the Baseline Trailhead in Ocala, Florida (4255 SE 85th Ave, 34472). The event uses chip timing and is scored by J3 Timing; results will be posted by that timing provider.
The event is presented with a Luck Dog theme and supports animal shelters. Participants may run or walk with or without their pet. Dogs are welcome to take part in the 5K and are not required to register.
Registration information provided for the 5K includes an opening date of May 5, 2026 and a closing date of August 14, 2026, with a registration fee of $25.00. Registered entries receive a short sleeve t-shirt, a finisher medal, a chip timed race bib, access to live race results, and finish line treats for both humans and dogs. A virtual entry option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
