South Palm Beach County Bar Association Run for the Brave
The Second Annual SPBCBA Run for the Brave 5 km is a community event held at Countess de Hoernle Park and the Spanish River Athletic Facility in Boca Raton. Participant proceeds support the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society's Veteran Advocacy Project. The event features a certified course that accommodates both runners and walkers.
The event offers several registration categories for the 5 km distance:
- Run for the Brave 5 km (General)
- Run for the Brave 5 km (Under 18)
- Run for the Brave 5 km (Veteran Participant)
- Run for the Brave 5 km (Judicial Participant)
- Run for the Brave 5 km (Attorney Participant)
- Run for the Brave 5 km (Legal Staffer Participant)
A variety of awards are presented across multiple categories. In addition to the top three overall male and female finishers and top finishers in ten-year age groups, specific honors are given to the fastest male and female attorneys, jurists, and legal staffers. Team awards include the Fastest Team, Slowest Team, Most Patriotic Team, and Highest Fundraising Team. Registered participants are eligible for race t-shirts, which are guaranteed for the first 300 individuals to sign up. Ample parking is available at the facility.
