SPBCBA Run for the Brave 5K in Boca Raton
The SPBCBA Run for the Brave is the second annual 5K event held at Countess de Hoernle Park / Spanish River Athletic Facility within South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, FL. The course is certified and organized as a family event that honors those who have served the country. Proceeds benefit the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society's Veteran Advocacy Project.
The event offers several participant categories that include standard 5K entries, youth entries for participants under 18, and specialty categories for veterans, judicial participants, attorneys, and legal staffers. Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registrants; shirt sizes are not guaranteed. Packet pickup is available at Runners Edge in Boca Raton on dates before the event and also onsite at the park on race day. There is parking available at the park.
Awards are presented across multiple classifications, including top three overall male and female finishers, top three in 10 year age groups, fastest male and female in attorney, jurist, and legal staffer categories, fastest and slowest teams with minimum team sizes, Most Patriotic Team, and Highest Fundraising Team.
