Run for the Animals 5K : Karst Farm Park, Bloomington, IN
Run for the Animals is a fundraising 5K event at Karst Farm Park that benefits the Monroe County Humane Association. The event includes an in person, timed 5K run and walk and a virtual 5K option for participants who prefer to complete the distance on their own schedule. Each registration includes an official event t-shirt.

- 5K Virtual Run/Walk (complete on your own time)
The course begins at Karst Farm Park and loops through the Monroe County Fairgrounds. In 2026 the event introduced separate start times for runners and walkers. The awards ceremony and sponsor booths are located near the start/finish area. Raffles and pet contests follow the awards; participation in raffles and pet contests does not require 5K registration.
Packet pick-up is available for preregistered participants on the Saturday before the event, and there is packet pick-up plus onsite registration on the event day. Registration details and fees differ for the in person and virtual options.
Rules for canine participants include current rabies vaccination, one dog per registrant, only spayed or neutered dogs allowed, and no retractable leashes; standard non-retractable leashes are required.
