The Run For Sweet Caroline
The second annual Run for Sweet Caroline takes place in Boca Raton on April 18, 2027 at Spanish River Park. The event raises funds for sarcoma awareness, patient education and assistance, and sarcoma research, with 100% of registration fees and additional donations directed to relevant organizations such as the Sarcoma Alliance, the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, and the Leiomyosarcoma Support & Direct Research Foundation.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1 mile fun run (approximate, untimed)
- 2 mile fun run (approximate, untimed)
Race timing is provided for the 5K by Accuchip Timing. All participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to age group winners in 10 year increments. Race shirts, giveaways, and family activities such as face painting, air brush tattoos, and shave ice are part of the event program.
Free health screenings are provided by the U Health Game Changer vehicle. Water is available at water stations and water bottles are provided at the finish line. Packet pickup is available in advance at Runner's Edge in Boca Raton and on the day of the event at the race venue. The event is managed by Runner's Edge Foundation.
