Run for Sewa
Run for Sewa is a community running and walking event held at Weiss Field in Avon Lake, Ohio. Proceeds benefit ASPIRE tutoring and mentorship to boost high school graduation rates among at-risk Cleveland youth.
Distances offered include:
- 5K (3.1 miles) running race, chip timed
- 1 Mile walking only, untimed
- Student 5K (3.1 miles) running race
- Student 1 Mile walking only
Registration opens April 30, 2026. Pre-registration fees are $25 with a student rate of $15. Race day registration is $30. General registration closes September 26, 2026; student registration closes September 27, 2026. Mail-in entries must be received by Wednesday, September 23, 2026 and should be sent to Hermes Sports and Events, 2425 W. 11th St., Suite #2, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
Awards apply to the 5K only, with top overall male and female and three deep male and female in these age categories: 14 & Under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65 & Over. The first 150 registered participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt. Post-race food and drinks are provided. Dogs are allowed but must line up in the back and be on a short leash.
