Run For Ryan Memorial Run
This family friendly memorial run and walk takes place at Owen Bell Park in Dayville, Connecticut. It honors a local student who participated in agricultural education and on the high school cross country and track teams. Proceeds support a memorial scholarship fund for Killingly Ag-Ed seniors pursuing higher education.
Event distances include:
- 3.1 Miles - 5K run
- 3.1 Miles - walk
- Kids Fun Run - no distance specified
Registration opens March 2, 2026. Registration for the 5K and walk closes July 12, 2026; registration for the Kids Fun Run remains available through race day. Entry is via online registration only. Entry fees for the run and walk vary by age and by date: for entrants over 18 the fee is $30 before July 13, 2026 and $35 thereafter; for entrants 18 and under the fee is $25 before July 13, 2026 and $30 thereafter. The Kids Fun Run is free. Run and walk entrants will be provided a race shirt subject to availability at the time of registration.
The course uses off-road paths that may have exposed rocks and roots and could present trip hazards. As part of registration, entrants must sign a liability waiver accepting the risk of possible injury. Awards include top overall male, female, and non-binary, plus top three male and female in age groups 11 and under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. A $50 cash award is offered for any male or female who establishes a new course record. Current course records are Male 16:23 and Female 18:37.
