Run for Rocky 5 km Run / 3 km Walk - Dieppe Gardens, Windsor
Run for Rocky offers a 5 km run and a 3 km walk on August 8, 2026, starting at Dieppe Gardens as part of the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest Weekend. The route follows the Windsor waterfront from Dieppe Gardens toward the Ambassador Bridge, passing the Windsor Sculpture Park, with views of the Detroit River and the skyline.

The Run for Rocky Legacy Project funds Gender and Sexuality Alliance clubs in local senior schools and post-secondary institutions across Windsor-Essex. Funding includes GSA grants, scholarships, support for attendance at GSA educational conferences, supplies and resources for parents and educators, yearly GSA Toolkit Booster Boxes, and diversity training for educators. A portion of event proceeds will also support local 2SLGBTQIA+ agencies including Windsor Pride Community, Windsor-Essex Pride Fest, and Trans Wellness Windsor.
Registration categories include commemorative items and a University of Windsor women's soccer game ticket depending on the package. The event is not timed, but medals are awarded to top finishing runners in multiple age categories and prizes are given to top fundraisers; the team that raises the most funds receives a rotating trophy engraved with the winning team name.
