Run For Rett 2026
Run For Rett 2026 is a fundraising run and walk taking place in person and virtually in conjunction with the International Rett Syndrome Foundation. The in-person event is at Busse Woods - Grove 26 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, on May 2, 2026. The race uses a scenic course through the forest preserve and starts and finishes at Grove 26. Post-race activities include music, food and awards. The event distributes official Run For Rett T-shirts to the first 200 participants.
Distances, virtual option and fundraising

A virtual option is offered. Virtual participants may complete their distance between April 18 and May 2, 2026, and submit recorded or manual results to the event results system. Tracking with a mobile app or wearable is optional.
Registration information lists a pre-registration fee of $30 and a race day fee of $35. Participants who raise more than $100 in donations may participate for free; qualifying donations must be mailed before April 16, 2026 to the event mailing address in Schaumburg, Illinois. Awards will be given to top overall male and female finishers and to top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups for the 5K in-person race.
