Event Overview
The Run For Recovery 5K Run & 2K Run/Walk takes place in Fairmont, West Virginia. It is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026. The event raises funds for the Union Rescue Mission.
Distances
The event offers three different ways to participate.
- 5K Run-Chip Timed (3.1 miles): A chip-timed running event.
- 2K Walk/Run (1.2 miles): A shorter distance for walking or running.
- VIRTUAL Run For Recovery: A virtual option where participants can run or walk anywhere, at any time. Registrants for the virtual event receive an event shirt by mail.
Location & Registration
The in-person event starts at 107 Jefferson Street in Fairmont. The entry fee for the 5K and 2K events is $30 each, with the price increasing after July 3, 2026. The virtual event costs $40, and registration for it closes on July 4, 2026.
