About the race
Run For Palestine Fort McMurray is the 3rd annual Run for Palestine, held at Birchwood Trails on Tamarack Way by Doug Barnes Cabin. The scenic course offers a family-friendly setting for a community event. Participants can choose from a 3 km run for ages 7–10, a 3 km run for ages 11–14, a 4 km run for ages 15+, or a 3 km walk for all ages.
The event is fundraising, with 100% of proceeds supporting humanitarian aid in Palestine; Islamic Relief Canada participates among organizers. Since 2009, Run for Palestine has united communities across Canada, raising funds for Gaza, the West Bank, and refugee camps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
