Hues for Humanity Fort McMurray 2026
Hues for Humanity Fort McMurray is a colourful fun run organized in support of Real Humanitarian. The event takes place on June 6, 2026 at Doug Barnes Cabin Cross Country Ski on Tamarack Way in Fort McMurray. The course follows the upper Birchwood Trail and is approximately 5 km, offered as a walk or run.
The format includes a mass group colour toss before the course and a final group colour toss at the finish, plus multiple colour stations along the route where volunteers apply colour. A DJ and an emcee provide music and announcements. There are costume prizes for individual, family, and team categories, and additional door prizes.
Registration options include team, solo, youth, and child categories. Typical registration packages include a t-shirt, colour packets, and a swag bag; child registrations do not include a race package. Race bag pickup is scheduled before the event day. Walk-up registration is available with different pricing. Volunteers help with race bag assembly, event setup, and course organization.
All event proceeds are directed to Real Humanitarian's education, health, and empowerment initiatives. These programs provide educational, medical, and social-emotional support to more than 1,000 children each year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
