Run for Nature

Event Overview

The Run for Nature is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026. The event benefits the Stage Nature Center and takes place at Troy Farm, located at South Blvd. and Beach Road in Troy, Michigan. It features multiple participant categories.

Distances and Courses

• 5K Run/Walk: Runners and walkers use separate courses. The 5K run starts on a nature trail at Troy Farm, continues on sidewalks to the nature center, and returns to the start/finish line at the farm. Walkers follow the same route after the runners.
• 2K Walk: This walk uses a separate nature trail course at Troy Farm that winds through meadows and wooded trails.
• Little Sprout Sprint: A race for children aged 10 and under.
• Virtual Participant: An option for those who cannot attend in person.

Registration and Logistics

Adult early bird registration is $30 until May 15, 2026, after which it increases by $5. Youth registration (ages 0-15) for the 5K or 2K is $15. The Little Sprout Sprint is $15 and includes a participant medal; the first 50 children to preregister receive a nature cape. Preregistration by May 15 guarantees a t-shirt.

Race packets containing a micro-chipped bib and t-shirt can be picked up prior to the event at the Stage Nature Center (6685 Coolidge Hwy, Troy) on Sunday, May 31, or Thursday, June 4.

On Event Day

Check-in opens at 7:30 AM. A warm-up session is at 8:25 AM, with the Little Sprout Sprint at 9:10 AM and the 5K Run followed by the 2K Walk starting at 9:15 AM. The event concludes with awards and door prize drawings between approximately 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. All finishers receive a participation award, with additional awards for top 5K finishers.

The organizers reserve the right to convert the event to a virtual format if necessary due to COVID restrictions, with no refunds issued. A donation receipt for the nature center can be provided upon request. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
