Run For Hope - Bonita Lakes Park, Meridian, MS
Run For Hope is a community race held at Bonita Lakes Park in Meridian, MS on November 14. The event includes multiple timed and untimed events and uses chip timing provided by Time 2 Run Race Timing. Race numbers (bibs) are distributed only on race day to attending participants.
The event features the following distances and formats:
- 10K Trail Run - Jeep trail around the upper lake through shaded woods and lake views.
- 5K Road Course - Starts and finishes at the boat landing, includes lower lake walking track.
- 2 Mile Walk - Out and back route to the front of the park.
- 1 Mile Fun Run - Straight out across the dam and straight back, suitable for children.
Race day registration ends at 7:40am; participants not in line by that time cannot register. Packet pickup on race day is available and all packets should be collected before 7:45am. Parking is at the upper lake and near the boat landing; access across the dam is restricted starting at 7:30am. Participants may be asked to remain in the area until race staff determine it is safe to leave.
Awards are given in multiple categories. Top overall and masters categories are recognized in the 10K and 5K, with additional age group awards and finishing awards for the walk and fun run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
