Run for Agape 5K
The Run for Agape 5K is an annual running and walking event held at Magnuson Park in Seattle, Washington. The event takes place on a fairly flat course that starts and concludes near Lake Washington. This is a USATF sanctioned event designed to accommodate participants of various ages and physical abilities.
Participants can choose from several event options:
- Run For Agape 5K
- Family Friendly 2k
- Virtual Run For Agape 5K
The virtual option allows participants to complete their distance from any location, though event shirts are not provided for the virtual category. For those attending in person at Magnuson Park, strollers are permitted on the course, though pets are not allowed at the event.
The event serves as a fundraiser for Camp Agape Northwest, a program supporting children with cancer and their families in Washington State. All proceeds from the registration fees and personal fundraising efforts go directly to the organization to provide camp experiences at no cost to the attending families. In previous years, the event has raised over $46,000 for this cause.
Access to the event is through the southwest corner of the park at the intersection of Sand Point Way NE and NE 65th Street. Limited parking is available near the start line, with additional parking located throughout Magnuson Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
