Run Echuca Moama
Run Echuca Moama is a community running event held on Sunday 2 August 2026 in the Echuca and Moama area. The course follows sections of the Murray River and includes two river crossings and passage through the Port of Echuca. Participants pass historic paddlesteamers and finish by crossing the Old Echuca-Moama Bridge, which is closed to traffic for the event.
The event offers a range of distances to suit different ages and interests:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Frinkle Junior Bolt 400 m (ages 5 to 7) and 800 m (ages 8 to 10)
Proceeds support the Opening Doors Project run by Community Living & Respite Services. The project focuses on building housing for people with disability; to date it has delivered three homes and twelve units, supporting 22 people to live with greater independence and inclusion.
Maps are available for each course and the half marathon uses two laps of the 10 km course. The event includes volunteer roles such as course marshals and water station attendants. Merchandise is available through a local stockist on event day and online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
