Run Echuca Moama
Run Echuca Moama is a community running event held on Sunday 2 August 2026 in Echuca Moama. The course follows the Murray River, crosses two river crossings and runs through both Victoria and New South Wales. The route passes historic paddlesteamers and the Port of Echuca, and finishes by crossing the Old Echuca Moama Bridge which is closed to traffic for the event.
The event features multiple distances and a junior race for children. Distances include:
- 21.1km Half marathon, two laps of the 10km course
- 10km
- 5km
- Frinkle Junior Bolt 400m for ages 5 to 7 and 800m for ages 8 to 10
Early bird pricing applies from 10 May to 16 June with stated entry fees. All funds raised support the Opening Doors Project, which builds homes for people with disability; the project has delivered three homes and twelve units supporting 22 people. Organisers offer volunteer roles on race day including marshals, water station attendants, registration support and event setup or pack down. Volunteers receive on site food and drink acknowledgements. Merchandise is available through the event merchandiser and includes branded shirts, hoodies, caps and other items.
