Run Dorney Lake takes place at Dorney Lake in Buckinghamshire, a purpose-built rowing lake near the village of Dorney. The event offers chip timed running over measured distances on flat, tarmac paths that follow the lake.

The course is road surface with lap formats: the half marathon is four laps with a U-turn each lap, the 10k is two laps and the 5k is one lap. The organiser notes a four hour cut off applies to the marathon.
Entries include a themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. An event village provides food, drink and finish line refreshments. A secure marquee is available for baggage and portaloos are located near the boathouse.
There is a water station on each lap of the 5k course at about the 2.5 km mark, plus a bottle of water at the finish. Free parking is signposted at the venue; some car parks may be up to a mile from registration. Cycle parking is available.
Minimum ages are stated as follows: marathon 18 years and above, half marathon 17 years and above, 10k 15 years and above, 5k 11 years and above. Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome; running with a dog is not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
