Run & Connect: The Halloween Run | Women's 5K in Costume, Canary Wharf
This is a women-only 5K run that meets at Mercato Metropolitano in Wood Wharf and follows a riverside loop via South Quay, finishing back at Mercato Metropolitano. Participants warm up together, run the Riverside 5K loop, then cool down. After the run there is water, coffee, breakfast and a costume parade.
The event encourages costumes or a small spooky touch, provided the outfit is safe and allows comfortable running. The run is led by a coach with experience in running and strength training. Every pace is welcome; the run is not a race and the group aims to keep participants together. New attendees are asked to arrive five minutes early for a brief onboarding.
Participants confirm they feel physically able to take part and accept personal responsibility for their safety while running. The organizer recommends seeking medical advice if unsure about participation due to injury, medical conditions, or pregnancy. Costume safety guidance asks runners to avoid items that restrict movement, vision or breathing, or that could cause tripping. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
