Run by the Sea takes place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Wilder Ranch State Park in Santa Cruz, CA. The event includes multiple race distances held within the park.

The courses follow coastal bluffs and park trails along California's Central Coast and consist mostly of flat, packed dirt trails. Participants pass along bluffs and meadows and have coastal views of Monterey Bay; wildlife such as dolphins may be visible from the route.
The event is organized by the Santa Cruz Track Club and is in its 10th year. Proceeds benefit the track club's youth program, Bike Santa Cruz County, and Santa Cruz Mountain Trail Stewards.
