Run Ballinskelligs
Run Ballinskelligs is an event in the Hardman run series located in South Kerry. The race routes follow the wild Skellig Coast, providing participants with views of the Skellig Rock. All distances conclude at Ballinskelligs Beach.
The event offers four distinct distance options to accommodate various experience levels:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
The Full Marathon is a technical and demanding course. It is not intended for first-time marathon participants. A strict six-hour cutoff time is enforced for this distance; the course opens at the start of the race and the finish area closes exactly six hours later. Participants finishing after this time will be listed as DNF (Did Not Finish).
The organizers have implemented a green policy to reduce environmental impact. Participation fees have been adjusted to make event t-shirts optional rather than included by default. All finishers receive a medal. To eliminate single-use plastics, the event utilizes alternative water dispensing methods.
