About the race
The Latimer Lane School Parent-Teacher Organization will hold the 13th annual Run Back to School event on October 4, 2026, in Weatogue, Connecticut. The event is a community fundraiser whose proceeds go directly to the school to support and enhance the Latimer Lane physical education program. Past purchases funded by race proceeds include a Gaga Pit, sleds, a primary playground map, a basketball hoop, a climbing tower, and balls for each class.

Distances:
- 5K, 3.1 miles, registration fee $25.00
- 1 Mile Run, one mile, registration fee $20.00, awards for elementary age winners
- Fun Run, for elementary school aged children, registration fee $15.00
