Run as One 4M Presented by JPMorgan Chase
Run as One is a combined road race and health walk in Central Park that raises funds and awareness for lung cancer research. The 2026 edition is the 21st annual running of the event and supports the Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation. The race recognizes the legacy of Tom Labrecque and highlights that more than 60% of lung cancer cases occur in people who never smoked or who quit years before diagnosis.
Event options include the following distances:
- 4 miles race
- 1.4 mile Health Walk
All participants receive a short-sleeve New Balance tech T-shirt at number pickup. The Health Walk is free to join. The race is scored for prizes and club points, and it serves as a qualifier in the 9+1 program. Prize money for individual finishers is equal across men, women, and nonbinary categories; top individual payouts are $800 for first, $600 for second, $300 for third, $200 for fourth, and $100 for fifth. Team prize money is also available with equal amounts across divisions.
Numbers and race materials may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER on specified dates before the event, with race-day pickup available at Race-Day Central in Central Park. Race-day amenities listed by the organizer include course water, and post-finish water, apples, and pretzels. NYRR provides accessibility information and fee assistance programs for participants.
