Run Army Brisbane

Run Army Brisbane is a community running event near the Wheel of Brisbane at Grey Street, South Bank, held to show support for frontline service workers and to raise funds for multiple legacy and emergency service beneficiary organisations.

The event offers timed and untimed options with a race number that includes a timing chip for personal finish times and live tracking of progress on course. On-course features include displays of Australian Army capability such as bushmasters and armoured vehicles, interactive displays from emergency services, and live music from groups including the Australian Army Band and Queensland Police Pipes and Drums. The course includes a segment called Legacy Hill and has vendors and event facilities in the race village located at Cultural Forecourt, South Brisbane.

Race pack collection is available at Gallipoli Barracks access and at South Bank Piazza on the days before the event. Awards include the Run Army Shield for the overall winners in the 10 km and podium medals for overall first to third in 5 km, 10 km, 15 km Chief’s Challenge and wheelchair events. Participants in the 2.4 km receive a finisher medal. Online results include age category rankings for 5 km and 10 km events.

Virtual entries are available to participate from anywhere during March and April. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
