Run Army Brisbane
Run Army Brisbane is a community running festival in Brisbane on 11 April 2027 that raises funds for service and rescue organisations. The event lists beneficiaries including Army, Police, Ambulance, Fire, SES, Surf Life Saving and Marine Rescue, and also supports veterans and families of those who have served.
The program offers a range of entry distances and formats. Distances available for the Brisbane event include:
- 2.4km
- 5km
- 10km
- 15km
One event option is the Chief's Challenge, described as a 15km combination of 10km plus 5km. Entries include a standard contribution of $5 that participants nominate to go directly to a chosen charity, and the organisers state that 100% of donations made through Run Army fundraising go to charity beneficiaries.
Run Army welcomes a wide variety of participants: runners, walkers, supporters, families, children, prams, veterans, first responders, wheelchair users and those assisted. The event also features fundraising and a leaderboard for top individuals and teams, and provides opportunities to meet first responders through displays. A virtual event and a Townsville event are listed as part of the wider Run Army series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
