American River Run and Raft Adventure
The American River Run and Raft Adventure is a combined trail run and whitewater rafting event on the South Fork American River in Lotus / Coloma, California. The event runs on two dates in 2026: May 24 and July 25; participants may choose one date or both. The trail component is a non-competitive, supported, group run that follows the South Fork American River Trail from Salmon Falls Bridge to Magnolia Ranch Trailhead. An aid station with Hammer Nutrition products is located at mile 7. A shorter trail option of 4 miles is available.
The rafting component is a full day whitewater trip on the South Fork American River Lower Gorge with professional guides and equipment provided by River Runners Outfitters. Group transportation moves participants from the trail finish to the raft put in at Camp Lotus, and the rafting returns participants to the original parking area at Salmon Falls Bridge / Skunk Hollow Parking Lot. Lunch on the river is included.
Included with registration are an AllWeDoIsRun snapback trucker hat, supported group trail run options, aid station support, group transportation between run and raft, professional whitewater guides and equipment, and lunch on the river. The registration fee is $300 per person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
