About the race
Run Aintree takes place on 19 December 2027 at Aintree Racecourse, Ormskirk Road, Aintree, Liverpool, L9 5AS. The event offers three distances and uses the racecourse and surrounding roads.
Distances
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. The course is mostly tarmac with a short trail section through the centre of the racecourse. The routes are described as generally flat and suitable for steady pacing. Water is provided approximately every 5 km on the half marathon and 10K; the 5K route does not pass a water station.
There is an event village with food, drink and finish-line goodies from partners. An optional event t-shirt is available at checkout at a discounted price. Race packs are collected from the event village on the day; runners should bring their booking confirmation and photo ID. Baggage can be left in a secure room using the tag attached to the race number.
Minimum ages are 17 for the half marathon, 15 for the 10K and 11 for the 5K. Wheelchair athletes and buggy runners are welcome but should take care on narrower sections and remain to the outer edge of the course when possible. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the racecourse. Contact the organiser if the half marathon is likely to take more than three hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
