Run Aintree offers three distances at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool: a Half Marathon, a 10K and a 5K. The course runs mainly on tarmac within the racecourse grounds with a short section on a trail path through the centre. The route is described as flat and pace-friendly, with clear signage and marshal support.
Included with entry are a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. Water will be provided approximately every 5 km on the Half Marathon and 10K; the 5K does not pass a water station on course. Toilets are located in the racecourse grandstands and are passed at the end of each lap.
Practical information: there is limited free parking on site and an event village that opens at 08:30 where race packs are collected. Runners expecting to take more than three hours for the Half Marathon should make arrangements in advance. Minimum ages are 17 for the Half Marathon, 15 for the 10K and 11 for the 5K.
Wheelchair athletes and buggy runners are welcome, with a note to remain to the outer edge where the course narrows. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the racecourse grounds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
