About the race
Run Aintree takes place on 27 September 2026 at Aintree Racecourse, Ormskirk Rd, Aintree, Liverpool. The event supports University Hospitals of Liverpool Charity and offers three race distances on the racecourse circuit.
The event distances are:
- Half Marathon: 4 laps of the circuit, road, flat.
- 10k: 2 laps of the circuit, road, flat.
- 5k: 1 lap of the circuit, road, flat.
Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals guide participants around the course. The circuit layout means races are completed as laps around the track. The organiser provides chip-timed results and free race photos.
Included with entry are a themed medal, water and post-race goodies. An event village will offer food and drink options and additional free items from partners at the finish area. An event t-shirt is available at more than 30% off when purchased as part of the entry. The organiser also communicates work on sustainability and event operations.
