Run Aintree Half Marathon, 10k & 5k
The Run Aintree event takes place at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, a venue famous for hosting the Grand National steeplechase. Participants have the opportunity to run on a flat and quick road circuit during this event, which supports the University Hospitals of Liverpool Charity.
The following distances are available:
- 5k: 1 lap with 19m elevation.
- 10k: 2 laps with 38m elevation.
- Half Marathon: An out and back section plus 4 laps with 76m elevation.
The course features accurately marked miles and kilometres with distance flags. Marshals are positioned throughout the route to provide guidance and encouragement toward the chequered flag finish. The race utilizes chip-timing to provide results for all participants.
Entry includes a unique themed medal, water, and post-race goodies. Participants also receive free race photos. An event village is available on-site, offering various food and drink options. While event t-shirts are not included in the standard entry fee to reduce costs and environmental impact, they can be purchased as an optional add-on.
