Run Across CT 123
Run Across CT 123 is a point-to-point ultramarathon branded as a 200K, with a course of 123.2 miles that begins in East Thompson and finishes at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Southport. The route travels through 25 towns and combines trails with backroads and local highways.
Nearly half the course, about 57 miles, follows well-maintained trails with forest scenery, occasional stream crossings, and varied footing. The remaining mileage is mostly on scenic backroads and pavement. Total elevation change is moderate, with roughly 3,842 ft of ascent and about 4,455 ft of descent.
The event uses a 36 hour overall cutoff and enforces a minimum pace of approximately 17.5 minutes per mile (3.5 mph) to remain on course. Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and provide hydrating drinks, electrolyte replenishment, and light snacks; medical personnel are available. There are five intermediate cutoffs at Aid Station 3 (The Chronicle, mile 32.5), Aid Station 5 (Eaton Lot, mile 55.8), Aid Station 6 (The Rec Plex, mile 63.8), Aid Station 7 (Morgan Materials Lot, mile 75.9), and Aid Station 10 (Sandy Point, mile 100.07), plus the final cutoff at mile 123.2. Crew access is available at the intermediate aid stations.
