2026 Run 4 Your Cause
Organized by the Manitoba Runners' Association (MRA), the Run 4 Your Cause event takes place in Winnipeg, starting from Marpeck Commons on Grant Avenue. This event allows participants to support a partnering organization of their choice while running, walking, or wheeling.
Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 3.3 km (Try Run/Walk): A route that features scenery through the Assiniboine Forest. Strollers are permitted on the course for this distance.
- 5 km (Awesome Twosome): A unique team event where pairs run in opposite directions and pass each other along the route. Individuals without a partner can be paired with another participant by the MRA.
The 5 km event features a specific ranking system where age groups are determined by the combined age of the team members, and awards are based on their collective time. For the 3.3 km distance, top finishers are recognized individually across men's, women's, and non-binary categories.
Upon completion, finishers have several options for recognition. They can select one of six hand-crafted art medals, including a new design for 2026. Alternatively, participants may opt out of receiving a medal to ensure a portion of their entry fee is donated directly to their chosen cause or to the MRA.
The race is part of the MRA Classic Series and the MRA Youth Series. Registration fees vary based on timing, with early bird, regular, and late registration periods available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
