Event overview
The Rumpshaker 5K is the 18th annual edition held on March 28, 2026, at Regions Field in Birmingham, AL. The event benefits colorectal cancer awareness and supports Rumpshaker, Inc. Funds raised go toward education, a traveling inflatable colon display, local hospital assistance, and the Lisa Martz Hope Fund. The in-person 5K is chip-timed and the course has a USATF certification (AL18022JE).

Logistics and rules
Pre-race packet pickup for individuals and teams is Wednesday through Friday, March 25-27, 2026, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm at Fleet Feet, 3060 Healthy Way, Suite 100, Birmingham, AL 35243. Race day packet pickup is at Regions Field, 1401 1st Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233. Free parking is available at 1200 5th Ave South with a short walk to Regions Field. The start area will affect 1st Ave S between 14th St S and 16th St S.
Registration fees listed: 5K $30, 1 Mile $20, Virtual 5K $25; prices increase after March 7, 2026. A $5 team discount applies for teams of five or more and ends March 21, 2026. There are no refunds; bib transfers must be completed by March 21, 2026. Age-group and overall awards are offered; team and fundraising awards are also specified. RaceJoy will provide live GPS tracking and progress alerts for participants who carry a phone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
