Rumpshaker 5K

Rumpshaker 5K takes place on March 27, 2027, at Regions Field in Birmingham, Alabama. The event benefits colorectal cancer awareness and supports services for people affected by the disease. Multiple categories are offered, including an in person 5K with chip timing, a 1 mile fun run, and a virtual 5K. Colon cancer survivor categories are available for in person and virtual entrants; virtual survivors receive a blue bib.

Team registration is available; a team discount applies once a fifth team member is registered and a $5 credit is issued to the first four team members. The team discount ends on March 20, 2027. The virtual 5K registration includes a 5K T shirt as part of the registration package.

Race packet pickup is available the week before the event at Fleet Feet in Birmingham, and race day packet pickup is available at Regions Field. The 5K course is USATF certified (AL18022JE). In person 5K participants are chip timed and eligible for awards. Awards include top three overall male and female based on gun time and five year age group awards based on chip time. Team awards include placements for most participants and most funds raised and trophies for fastest teams in specified categories. There are no refunds and bib transfers must be completed by March 20, 2027. Unregistered participants are not permitted to run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
