Rugeley 10 Miler
The Rugeley 10 Miler is a road race held on 14 February 2027 with a race headquarters at Redbrook Hayes School, WS15 1AU (GPS 52.747, -1.929). The course distance is 10 mile and the start line is on the Main Brereton Road, a short walk of about 5–10 minutes from Race HQ.
The route runs on open roads with marshals stationed along the course and a lead and tail motorcycle in place. Chip timing is used and an individual’s chip time begins when they cross the start mat. Competitors should take care on narrow lanes where there may be other users such as vehicles or bicycles. Two water stations are provided, at mile 3.5 and mile 7, each with waste drop points for bottles.
Event capacity is 350 runners. Standard entry is £26, with a discounted rate of £24 available to members of EA WA SA until 13 February 2027. Parking for participants is limited to roughly 150 cars across several official car parks (Hawkins Yard 45 spaces; South Staffs Freight 40; The Levels 25; Premier Nutrition 30). Car parks are marshalled on race day and cars are parked at the owner’s risk; parking at Race HQ is reserved for officials.
After costs, proceeds will be shared with the club, Blood Bikes and Redbrook Hayes School. Prizes include cash for male and female top finishers, a course record cash prize, age-category prizes and a bespoke finisher medal. Entrants with iCloud or me.com email domains are asked to provide an alternative email address due to firewall issues. Latest event information is posted on the Rugeley 10 Mile Facebook page.
