Event Overview
The Ruff Run presented by Paws of Coronado is a running event held at Tidelands Park in Coronado. It includes a 5K run/walk and a separate 1.5 Mile Walk for walkers and dogs. Registration fees for the 5K start at $47.64 and for the 1.5 Mile Walk at $42.34, with prices increasing after February 1, 2026.
Beneficiary
The event supports PAWS of Coronado, an organization working to provide animals with safe and loving homes. Optional donations made during registration help fund medical care, emergency surgeries, behavioral support, and shelter improvements.
Participant Information
People participate with their dogs. According to the event rules, dogs must be social and on a non-retractable leash. The course starts and finishes at Tidelands Park. There is one aid station available for both humans and dogs. All runners in the 5K are timed, and overall and age group awards are given to participants who run with a dog.
Event Schedule
Race day registration and check-in opens at 7:00 AM at Tidelands Park. Both the 5K and the 1.5 Mile Walk start at 8:00 AM. An awards presentation is scheduled for 9:15 AM, and the event concludes at 9:30 AM.
