Ruff Mutter 5k Trail Run and Family/Dog Walk
The Ruff Mutter 5k Trail Run and Family/Dog Walk takes place at the Althouse Arboretum in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The event utilizes the arboretum's 27 wooded acres for its course layouts. Participants can choose from multiple ways to participate:
- 5 km trail run
- 1 mile Family/Dog Walk
- Combo option including both the 5 km run and the Family/Dog Walk
The event is held rain or shine, and the venue offers parking for participants. Those taking part in the 5 km run are eligible for various awards across multiple categories, including overall male and female winners as well as age-group awards for participants ranging from 13 and under to 70 and over.
Amenities provided for the event include refreshments for finishers, a time clock at the finish line, and instant results. A "Dog Days Fair" occurs alongside the athletic events, featuring various vendors and rescue organizations. Participants in the Family Walk have the option to donate to a rescue to walk with a rescue dog. T-shirts are available for pre-registered participants of the 5 km run while supplies last.
Registration is available in advance or on the day of the event. Children under 12 can participate in the Family Walk for free, though they do not receive a shirt.
