RPEF Sprint for Our Schools 5K & Family Fun Run : Ramsey, NJ
The Ramsey Public Education Foundation presents the annual Sprint for Our Schools on May 9, 2026 at the Ramsey Municipal Pool, 75 E Oak St, Ramsey, NJ 07446. The event is a USATF sanctioned community race offering the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 mile Family Fun Run
Cash prizes are awarded to the overall top three finishers. The top three finishers in each age group receive medals. Listed age groups are: 10 and under, 11–12, 13–18, 19–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 and over.
The event is described as a local tradition held on the second Saturday in May, with music from a DJ and sponsor presence. It supports the foundation’s work: RPEF is a 501(c)(3) organization that funds grants for technology, arts, and science programs in five public schools. Past editions of the race have raised more than $25,000 for Ramsey schools.
Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, May 8 at the Ramsey Pool with two sessions, and on race day at the registration table outside the pool beginning at 7am. Pickup times are subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
