Royal Windsor Triathlon
The Royal Windsor Triathlon is a multisport event held in the historic town of Windsor, featuring a route that passes several local landmarks. The event has been organized for over 30 years and offers participants various ways to compete in a scenic environment.
The competition includes the following distance options:
- Sprint Distance
- Olympic Distance
- Relay (available for both distances)
The course is divided into three distinct segments. Participants begin with a swim in the River Thames, followed by a cycle through the surrounding countryside. The final leg of the triathlon is a run on closed roads that takes athletes past Windsor Castle and along the path known as the Long Walk.
In addition to the standard categories, the event provides a specific wave for beginners supported by Macmillan. Various services are available for participants, including wetsuit hire and bike rentals. Corporate entries are also accepted, and specific British Triathlon Federation (BTF) membership requirements apply to all competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
