Royal Victoria Marathon 2026
The event takes place in Victoria and Oak Bay, British Columbia, from October 9 to 11, 2026. This is the 46th edition and it includes several race distances held across two days.

The marathon and half marathon start and finish in downtown Victoria. The 5K and Kids Run take place at Willows Park in Oak Bay. The course runs through quiet streets with ocean views across Victoria and Oak Bay. The event is a Boston qualifier, an Abbott World Majors ranking event, and a World Athletics World Ranking Competition.
Operational details: the marathon has a 6.5 hour course time limit and there is no early start for any distance in 2026. Marathon participants must reach the 13 km mark by a specified cutoff to continue on the full marathon route; those who do not may be moved to the half marathon or withdraw. Events will be capped in 2026. Strollers and pets are not allowed on course; Nordic poles are permitted only for mobility-impaired participants.
A GREEN BIB option allows registration without receiving an RVM garment while still receiving a bib and medal, with an option to select a charity donation as part of that choice. There are no refunds or deferrals for 2026; registrations may be transferred to another person until October 7, 2026 for a fee. An optional enhanced refund program is available.
