Royal Victoria Marathon 2026
The Royal Victoria Marathon takes place in Victoria, British Columbia, organized by the Victoria Marathon Society. This annual event includes several certified race distances held along the scenic coast and through the downtown area.

The marathon follows a seaside course with mild to moderate elevation changes. It is a World Athletics certified course, a Boston qualifier, and an Abbott World Marathon Majors MTT Age Group Qualifier. The half marathon starts next to the Parliament Buildings and consists of a rolling course with downhill and flat sections, designed for fast times. The 8K race is an out-and-back route featuring a gradual incline at the 2 km mark followed by a fast second half.
A High Performance Athlete Program is integrated into the event to support competitive distance runners. This program offers awards for top male and female finishers in both open and masters categories for the marathon and half marathon distances. Incentives are also available for athletes who break existing course records. All courses are officially measured and certified to ensure accuracy for rankings and qualifications.
