2026 Royal Victoria Marathon
The event takes place in Victoria, British Columbia, from October 9 to 11, 2026 and marks the 46th edition of the Royal Victoria Marathon. The course weaves through quiet streets and provides ocean views across Victoria and Oak Bay.

The marathon, half marathon and 8K start and finish in downtown Victoria on Sunday, October 11. The Kids Run and 5K take place on Saturday, October 10 at Willows Park in Oak Bay. The marathon has a 6.5 hour course time limit and a 13 km split cutoff; participants who do not pass that point before the cutoff will be given the option to move to the half marathon distance or withdraw.
For 2026 there is a GREEN BIB option: registrants receive a bib and medal but not an RVM garment, and may select a charity to receive a donation. Events will be capped for 2026 and previous years have sold out before the race. No strollers or pets are allowed on course; Nordic poles are permitted only for mobility impaired participants. Refunds and deferrals are not allowed for 2026, though registration transfers are permitted for a fee up to October 7, 2026.
