The 46th Royal Victoria Marathon takes place in Victoria and Oak Bay, British Columbia, from October 9 to 11, 2026. The event spans two days for race activities and offers multiple distances with downtown and park locations for starts and finishes.

The main course weaves through quiet streets with ocean views across Victoria and Oak Bay. The event is a Boston qualifier, part of Abbott World Majors ranking, and a World Athletics World Ranking Competition. The marathon carries a 6.5 hour course time limit; participants must reach the 13 km checkpoint by the published cutoff to continue the full marathon, otherwise they may be moved to the half marathon or withdrawn.
There are no early starts for any distance in 2026. Strollers and pets are not allowed; Nordic poles are permitted only for mobility-impaired participants. Events will be capped; in 2025 the marathon and half marathon sold out in July. A Green Bib option lets registrants forgo an event garment while still receiving a bib and medal, with the option to select a charity for a donation. No refunds or deferrals are allowed for 2026. Transfers to another person are permitted until October 7, 2026 for a fee. The Kids Run and 5K take place at Willows Park in Oak Bay, and Kids Run registration opens on February 16, 2026.
