Rothenberger Road to Recovery Run
The event is a community run in memory of someone lost to substance use disorder and aims to provide knowledge and education about recovery, prevention, and treatment. Organizers include FOR-DO and local community partners.
The event offers multiple course options:
- 1K Fun Run/Walk for families and children
- 5K Color Run/Walk
- 10K Race
All courses start and finish in Neahwa Park in Oneonta, NY. The park setting includes space for children to play and for participants and attendees to listen to music during the event. A post-race celebration will include food, snacks, refreshments, music, and an awards ceremony.
Registration details include a pre-registration period that remains open until August 29 and packet pickup on race day in Neahwa Park. The first 200 registrants receive a t-shirt and bracelet; those who pre-register are guaranteed the run t-shirt and wristband.
Entry fees are listed separately for pre-registration and day-of registration. Prizes are awarded for the 5K and 10K with cash or value awards for first through third place, separately for male and female finishers. The 1K event does not include prizes.
