About the race
The Rotary Run Charity Classic is a community running and walking event held in Hinsdale at The Community House and Robbins Park. The event is the 32nd edition and includes in-person and virtual participation. Distances and event types include:
- 10K run
- 5K run
- 3K run
- 5K walk
- 3K walk
- Mutt Strut dog walk (5K)
- Virtual runner option
All events begin in Robbins Park, directly east of The Community House at the intersection of 7th and Vine Streets, and finish on 8th Street in front of The Community House. The 10K and 5K runs do not allow bicycles, in-line skates, roller skates, scooters, other wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs and hand cranks), or dogs. Pets and strollers are allowed only in the Mutt Strut; baby joggers and strollers are permitted in all events but must line up at the back of the start line for the 10K and 5K runs.
Registration for listed events has an associated fee of $25.00 and specific open and close dates. T-shirt and bib pick up is scheduled at The Community House in the days before and on the event. To guarantee a t-shirt size, registrations must be completed by September 10th. Parking is available on nearby streets and at Madison School and Hinsdale Central High School. Proceeds support local and international charitable efforts. The 2026 overall sponsoring organization is U Chicago Medicine Advent Health Hinsdale.
