Rotary Run Charity Classic
The Rotary Run Charity Classic is an annual community running and walking event in Hinsdale centered at The Community House and Robbins Park. The course begins east of The Community House at the intersection of 7th and Vine Streets and finishes on 8th Street in front of The Community House. This edition is the 32nd running of the event.
The event includes multiple distances and formats:
- 10K
- 5K
- 3K
The program offers run and walk options and a Mutt Strut dog walk. A virtual participation option is also available. Entry fees for listed events are $25.00. To guarantee a specific T-shirt size, registrations must be completed by September 10th. T-shirt and bib pick up are organized before the event.
Course rules specify that the 10K and 5K runs do not allow bicycles, in-line skates, roller skates, scooters, or dogs. Wheelchairs and hand crank devices are permitted in place of wheeled vehicles. Baby joggers and strollers are allowed in events but must line up at the back of the start area for the 10K and 5K. Pets and strollers are allowed in the Mutt Strut.
Proceeds support local and international charitable efforts. If the event is canceled due to COVID-19, participants may choose virtual participation or to donate their registration fee. In other circumstances refunds and deferrals are not issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
