Rotary Oktoberfest 5K
The Rotary Oktoberfest 5K is a running event held on 10/17/2026 in Walhalla, South Carolina at 113 West Main Street. The event features a 5K distance on a USATF certified course that highlights the community of Walhalla.
Race timing is chip timed; the chip is attached to the race bib and the chip time begins when the chip crosses the start line. Participants are asked to wear their assigned bib on the front and outside of their clothing. Live results will be available during the event and after the race.
Registration opens on 03/17/2026 and closes on 09/19/2026. The registration fee is $25.00.
Proceeds support Rotary service projects in Oconee County. Funds are used for literacy initiatives, including purchases of books through Scholastic Books for area elementary schools, and an annual book drive with other Rotary clubs to collect books for families in need. The event also contributes to a Community Grants Program that has supported organizations such as Collins Family Ministries, Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Cub Scout Pack 3031, Fostering Faithfully, Grace’s Closet, Christ Central Ministries Oconee, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Youth Leadership Camp, OMH Cancer Institute, Our Daily Rest, and Ripple of One.
