Location and logistics
The event is centered at the High Plains Community Center in Orange, CT. Early bib pickup is available at the same venue the day before the race from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM; race day pickup is available beginning one hour before the event. Amenities listed for participants include live/text/email results, free finish line photos, personalized bibs for registrations made three weeks in advance, on-site bathrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, hydration at the finish, post-race refreshments, top quality T-shirts for pre-registered participants, and ample parking.
Awards and beneficiary
Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female overall finishers. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Orange and support food pantries, veterans groups, youth programs, literacy programs, senior care, and scholarships.
